Rabbit Hill Residence
Sherman, Connecticut
2023 - Present

Sometimes an incredible opportunity smacks you in the face. For me, it has to be the Rabbit Hill Residence. Recruited by Neil Bartley, the owner of Search Party Design in New York, needed a designer with a keen eye for aethetics and a passion for transforming spaces. Neil was looking to deliver a high level drawing set, presentation set and render set for his clients, but needed another designer to keep up and understand his vision.

Located in the rolling hills of Connecticut, this estate had potential yearning to be unleashed. The clients approached Neil looking to update their living environment and bring in more natural elements to better blend in with the outdoors. With Neil’s direction, I was responsible for creating and producing all construction documents, 3D models, renders and presentations. His vision focused on a central “visual anchor” that unified the dining, foyer, living, kitchen, and outdoor terrace, while seamlessly integrating nature into the living space. This anchor, the first element you encounter upon entering the home, evolved into a “black box” concept. Through strategic subtractions, we carved out functional spaces within this black box, including an entry wardrobe, utility closet, and art niche as it extends into the living area.
